Sam Jaffe has over ten years of professional experience working with young adults (18-35) and adolescents, as well as a previous decade-long career in the arts. Sam believes deeply that no one need sacrifice their uniqueness to find personal confidence and self-worth.
Sam earned his Master of Social Work at New York University, and has additionally completed extensive coursework taught by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) co-founder Steven C. Hayes, PhD. Sam is committed to utilizing evidence-backed treatment approaches with clients, including ACT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and operates from a strengths-based perspective.
Sam has taught students and trained educators in New York City public schools, worked on major motion pictures, been involved in the labor movement, traveled multiple countries by motorcycle, and been uncompromising in his own pursuit of life while refusing to bend to the status quo.
Sam enjoys music, photography, bird watching, getting his eyes on the horizon, and striving to be present and find joy in every moment.
